Just glad this lake got a top up this year as it was getting pretty low. The others I checked , one looked ok and the reports have been good but the water level down and too much deep sand to get through with a commodore, the other is just a puddle. So this lake might be our only option this year :dontknow:

Mate and I headed of at 7am and were home and cooking by 11:30am with our max allowed 30L each of yabbies. Just had a yabby sando for late lunch on fresh bread, and will have garlic butter yabs for dinner :D

Heard a rumour so the mate and his brother and I headed out to a swamp/lake. Didnt take the boat and we just waded it in knee deep water. Yabbies were slow with never more than 4 in a net, but they are big
Gonna eat well tonight :D
And after wading aroung 30 nets 7 times will also sleep well tonight :wink:

Man went out on weekend, didnt get a damn thing except a prickle in the face, went n got a trio of yabs from pet shop to put in a tank to kick off some stock n they all dead 24hrs later, think the water was a bit warm!!

The pic shows the haul after 4 rounds. We cooked them up and went around three more times. Will take my boat next time

Took the boat to this swamp today and got stuff all. 20 yabs from 3 pulls of 20 nets. So we went back to old faithful which was on the way home and ended with a great feed. Some big fellas came up from old faithful as well which was different

Garlic butter yabs, fresh asparagus and homebrew. Love summer :D

Went out to the usual lake this morning and got a feed but they are finally slowing up. Not surprising with the tonnes of them that must have been pulled there over the last two years :)

Yea I havnt had much time for it unfortunately this summer. The big sad news though is I sold my yabbie trecking rig on the weekend.... still bleeding from that one but she had to go. Mrs Charlie wants a new car and who am I to argue hehe
