I am looking at purchasing some Skretting fish pellets and wondering if anyone wants to go in on the order.
I have been given a price for delivery of approx. $130 inc GST for 2-5 bags.

Below are the prices per bag I have been Quoted per kg

Nutra RC
size __________ price/kg(ex GST)___price /bag(ex)____(inc GST)
1.2mm__________$3.27____________$81.75__________$89.925
1.8mm__________$2.70____________$54 .00__________$59.40
2.3mm__________$2.61____________$52.20__________$57.42
NOVA FF
3.0mm__________$2.05____________$41 .00__________$41
5.0mm__________$1.93____________$38.60__________$42.46
7.0mm__________$1.75____________$35.00__________$38.50
9.0mm__________$1.75____________$35 .00__________$38.50
11mm__________$1.75_____________$35.00__________$38.50
15mm__________$1.75_____________$35.00__________$38.50

I was supplied with size and price/kg ex GST and have calculated the above prices. If you notice any errors let me know.

All bags 20kg except 1.2mm which is 25kg.

If anyone wants to add to order we can split $130 delivery cost up to 5 bags.
I have been quoted $130 per bag locally so even If now one wants in I will have a saving for this product.

I would be interested in other people opinions of food type as I have been looking at other options but pretty sure I will be going with this one.

# I can buy Laucke Mills pellets $90 per bag 30kg - Tested sample of this. Sinking pellet and my initial thoughts was just grind/crush some of this up however it seams way to crumbly.

# big nutrition sell The Lucky Star Silver Perch/Jade Perch food which works out about $132 delivered to Bendigo.

# Ridley supplier- hard to get in contact with have tested some I can get locally but quoted $200 per bag - pretty sure I could get this one cheaper but not wasting anymore time trying to contact them.

Let me know if anyone is interested :thumbright:

Hey Craig,

If you want to look into it further I will be placing order later this week.

Cheers

Hey Craig, the skretting site says Nova FF is for marine fish - not sure if that means it is OK for marine fish in fresh water or if it is for salt tanks? And the Nutra RC is for salmonids - do you know if these are species specific (i.e. would tandanus or Silver Perch be OK on such a diet?)

One thing I would query - I got 20kg of BigNutrition SP feed delivers in Bendigo for approx $82 - not sure where the price difference comes from...

It is interesting to see the prices you were quoted, crankygecko. Over here in WA we are paying $21 more per bag for the above items, with freight or postage costs (from the agent, located in the SW of the state) on top of that. It would appear that, just occasionally, it pays to live closer to Tasmania.

The table is directly from there site and this is the info I got when I originally asked about their classic FF range for silver perch.
"We no longer supply the Classic FF, only the high energy Nova FF. This has a high oil content compared to the Classic FF old diet."

My SP's go nutso for it. I've seen trout eat and the SP's hit the food almost the same - as it hits the water and it's gone in about 30 seconds. And the cats cruise the surface line taking 2 or 3 at a time - I've got 4mm I think and they are getting big. (the fish not the pellets :D)

I'd call BN - numbers are on the site. I think Andrew was the guy I spoke to.

CG, Have you placed your order yet?
I need some 3mm for my SP's and Tandannus, so I would be willing to share the cost.
I am located in Melton.
Thanks
