Amazing as usual, francois. The roots from the celery are in great condition, without going back through your thread - what pre-filtering methods do you use.

thanks

Hi Charlie and chillidude
:thumbleft: :thumbright:

never answered your question
Charlie
the top +- 300 mm deep portions of the ibc I cut when I made the tank
the tank holds 700-750L and filter hold 200L of water...+-
I use filled plastic baskets with +-8-12mm Quarry stone
on top of the stone filled baskets I have made the shade net bags filled with the same size stone
the bags are stacked on top around the outlet
the level of these bags is just higher than the water outflow
I call this my bio/worm filter...I add worms in filter later when feed rates increase
hope this explains
:wave1:
