Welcome to the forum and good luck with your plans.

I like the bottle washer brushes as bio filter lots of surface for the bacteria to stick to. I hope they don't clog up with dirt.

Quite a small fish pool compared to the whole system. Will you have enough nutrient? Aso isn't 50kg fish/1500L of water a bit overstocked?

I employed a local man to dig the trough and fish tank by hand.

The brushes may be clog up several month later.I wont use brushes as biofilter stuff in my furture commercial system.

50kg fish can not offer enough nutrient especially in winter. My water is just 12 centigrade,The fish is loss of appetite. I my suffering the deficency of nutrient.

1500L of water with 50Kg fish isn't crowded,because the total water is 9000L.

There is some pics.

System water's ammonia is normal,nitrite is high,nitrate is low.
And the PH is terribly 8.4.

The red lettuce and Chinese cabbage I planted last Thursday have stand up,the Aquatic root appeared.
