Just a thought. Does anyone think it would be possible to engineer some sort of waterwheel on a flood and drain system on the return to FT side of the plumbing to make and store power to run the system?

Helomech means that there's no such thing as perpetual motion, there's always energy loss. Could you recoup some of your energy through falling water? sure.. the people who have tried and reported back report that its not significant enough to be worth the effort.

if you want to avoid a air pump you can look into venturi effect on your water pump.
