I leveled the ground beforehand dugout where I was putting the GH and it has bowed out not down due to the lumber yard bringing me a board that was not straight. I am waiting for the weather to clear and to have a day off to undo a few srews and use a come along to bring the walls together and put the screws back in and add in some ceiling joists all the way down the length of the GH.

Well the weather has finally cleared up and I am off shift. What are the odds. I am back out woring on thw greenhouse today putting the plastic up. Not going to get much done, had to spend some daddy daughter time. But I have tomorrow too. Then Friday I will be digging out for my tote to be placed. So if all go as well and no unforeseen problems I will have some new pics up by this weekend.

So after getting some of the plastic up yesterday ( the 2 ends both east and west ends) and there are a few spots on these ends that I would like to be solid and not transparent at any point in the future. What material would be good for outdoor use like this.

Today I finished the rest of the plastic and only need to make my door and install it. I will be making my vent windows this spring.
Starting this week I will be digging the pit for my IBC tote and picking up some rubber mulch for the floor. thinking I will leave some extra plastic at the base of the greenhouse and put some drainage stone around the building on the plastic. ImageImageImage

I would use siding, this stuff lasts forever if you keep it painted.

Ok so had three days off shift this week in a row and was shocked. So I started digging out for the tote. Being that this thing is like 3.5ft tall with the bass removed, I was thinking I would do 3ft deep and 6in lip so my girls will be able to walk up to the FT.
Well after digging for most of the morning and hitting the water table for my yard I now have a large problem at 22in. deep my hole is now starting to fill with water. I have some odd roots that drain some water and put about 3in of water in the bottom which in turn turned every bit of red clay to mush. So I have 22in. Of 36in is the some type of insulation I can surround the top with. It is in a greenhouse and was doing this more for the hot summer months for the fish to have cooler waters.
Any advice on this?

I was only able to get mine about 2 feet deep also. I put my tank in and filled it with water, then took the dirt that I dug out and built it up around the remaining 2 feet of tank that was sticking up.
You definately want to fill the tank before starting to build dirt up around the tank to keep the tank from collapsing in from the weight of the dirt.

My plan was to leave some up above ground and build a frame around so the girls can sit and look. I guess I can sink some 2x4 and make benches in the dirt. Problem is I have been using it to level the ground inside the GH since I already did the GH when I Built it. I'm taking some of that recycled tire much and lining the floor next week. Anything else I could use to pack around like river stone?
