Pulled my last 4 trout out tonight. Pretty damn happy with how this season has gone - only lost a few and they're good eating.

Well tonight was very exciting...

Todays the day we took a dozen of my trout to be cooked by the chef at Eyenesbury golf course.

I had no idea they were putting them on the menu.
All i knew was the chef was cooking them up for us and i thought a couple of extras for the staff.

We did chat with a group that ordered the trout and they had very high praise for the fish. They were totally amazed when we told them they were still alive at 4:50pm in MY backyard.

What a fantastic night!!

Who could get sick of trout MR D ? Seriously by the time I barter a some away and have a couple of BBQ's it'll leave enough for dinner once or twice a fortnight

Totally agree EB, bacon makes everything better !!

Love them smoked, but im on the hunt for a larger smoker as I can only do four of a time in my current one
I have 20 in brine at the moment and will do them in batches tomorrow

Got these two out today so if counting is right, there are three left. Might see how far I can keep them going. Premium trout food ran out weeks ago so they arent growing much
These were the biggest two at a touch over 700g each
