the AP market is small compared to the recreational fishing industry that i will be concentrating on but it all stemmed from my AP system.

The recreational fishing industry is small... But hey, when you talk about fishing most people know what you are talking about.

for those who are interested.........

I am pleased to announce the Backup Aeration Kit is finally ready!!

This kit has been developed for use in home Aquaponic systems in the event of mains power failure.
Powered by a 12 volt back up battery, it will deliver dissolved oxygen directly into the fish tank.

Tournament anglers, recreational anglers and charter operators can also use the Backup Aeration Kit in livewells to avoid a disappointing end to a great days fishing in the event of a livewell pump failure. It can supply dissolved oxygen to fish in live bait and livewells in kayaks and boats.
The kit can also be used by land based anglers to keep their bait or catch alive.

Not only does the kit provide oxygen, it also provides a current to keep your fish as healthy as possible.

Cost is $70 inc postage anywhere within Australia and can be made by bank deposit, PayPal or soon on www.masterangler.com.au

Great Job Mate, It looks fantastic.
Do you have estimated continuous run times for them running from an independent battery?
What kind of Amps do they pull?

Best of luck to you Craig,

Thanks mate,

These ones are rated at 2.5A but i haven't done a proper load test myself as of yet.
Running times depends on the battery used, a 7AHr battery should give 2-3 hours, etc

Not only did we release 36 rainbow trout at Shoestring Gardening we also released 50 in my own system. They have settled in very well and are actively feeding already. The resident 15 silver perch don't seem to phased by the new arrivals and if all goes well they will be placed in the new RAS (recirculating aquaculture system) that I'll be building in the shed.
