Black beauty. Yes it is in front of my lemon and lime trees. Completely dwarfing them I might add. I had no idea eggplant got so large!

Hey I just saw your comment about Lake Mojave. My family used to go there every summer for years. Awesome place. Caught lots of striper and massive bullhead catfish. Awesome for skiing and wake boarding too. Such clear water. The area north of cottonwood cove was where we would go to camp on the water and play.

Your system is looking good too.

As specific as people are about their IBCs around here, one might be more surprised at how much more picky I was about women. I came up with this crazy criteria, that I thought would take years to find, and I found her at twenty. An Italian, ballet dancer, a couple of years older than me, with a good relationship with her father. I'm still the luckiest man I know.

Great stuff, dude!

Criteria? What criteria? I only knows that to avoids the crazy ones, I must go for the virtuous ones, which is harder. I still have a hard time trusting women! I am way too picky! Oh well.

My criteria was simpler: a woman that does not laugh or cry the first time she looks at me.

Check out their relationship with their father. If they have problems with their father, it will likely be transferred to you. Likewise women should look at the relationship a man has with their mother. The relationship should be healthy and balanced. Good communication, but not overly dependent. Virtue is one of those things that is easy to fake. I have met many a "virtuous" types, only to find they are scoundrels.

Had my first unplanned fish death in quite some time. I noticed my slo was running kind of slow. Low and behold a tilapia was stuck under it. I think that it might have been the stress of the cold, though my water was at 69F and this guy had survived much colder. Not quite dead when I found the little guy, but he is not alive now. He would not revive. Too small to eat, so I put him into my currently fruit fly composter, hopefully BSFL composter when things warm up.

It is winter here, that means the days can be as cold as 60F :bootyshake: . The leaves on the grape vines have fallen off enough to allow me to do a project I had been envisioning since summer.

A living canopy over my patio. I pulled the vines down from the tangled mess they were, and wrapped them together with Velcro. They practically support themselves that way.

I put some eye bolts into the trim at the halfway spot on the exterior of my town home, and ran some galvanized wire through it. I tightened it up with a turnbuckle.

I then velcro'd the vines to the wire, and wove them in and out of each other.

The view from above.

And some veggie shots for good measure, the romanesco is poking through.

I thought eggplant was supposed to be a summer vegetable, but it is still producing.
