Hi Mantis - How did you fix the hoops so they didn't bow over? I'll be putting one up very similar soon with 30% white shadecloth and 50mm rural pipe. Plan on having 1.2m of star picket above the ground.

Do you have any pics of it with the laserlite on?

I put 4 bits of timber up at the top at four places along the length of it. You can see one in the pic. The were bolted onto the pipe after i pulled it into place. I also have a rope strung from one side in the middle to a post bracing it against the prevailing winds.
There is a pic of it with the laserlite on back in this thread somewhere, but I wont do that again. If you want to make one into a greenhouse I reckon greenhouse plastic would be better

Hi Mantis

I know that this is late but I just weight 1L of scoria and the scoria that I get is 820grams so it would be safe to say 1L = 1KG.

Just in case the information is need down the track.

No real plan as we still have plenty of relish and sauce from last year, so will give a lot of them away

Hey mantis, somehow haven't gone through this thread until now. Took me a few days and it felt long and painful like reading War and Peace.

Okay, more seriously, loved it. Thanks for all the info and posts to this thread. Very much appreciated.
