poor quality or old feed can really mess things up. I found the easiest way to get really high quality fish feed was to look up purina dealers in the area. Make a list of the local feed stores and call them up to see how much they would charge you to have a bag of aquamax fish feed thrown on the truck for the next delivery. Most feed stores won't stock it regularly but if they are a purina dealer, it should be no big deal to get a bag. This method gets me the feed I want at half the price I had been paying previously, I just need to call in advance so they can add the fish feed to the next order. I've been getting the Aquamax Dense 4000 which is good for catfish and tilapia. Granted this only works well if you use at least 50 lb of feed in a 6 month period. If it takes two years to use up the feed, probably better to buy in smaller quantities or perhaps re-package and freeze the excess.

Hope everyone is well, and a belated Happy Turkey day to all. Its the end of November and I have only onions a couple of toms and stevia growing yet. The fish are on winter feed ( a hand full a day) so little growth. but they are alive. No snow yet, but getting below freezing at night and I haven't figured out what I'm going to do for the hard winter yet. Heat or bring all inside. Take care all....

Wow. Has it really been that long? I'm still aping but have only one fish and its back to the basement this year with him. It will take me some time to check out all the amasing work you folks have been up to. Happy turkey day now if I don't get the chance.
