There is the buy back shop at the dump, and a wrecking business which sells second hand materials - other than that I have no idea... I might be visiting the wreckin company's yards tomorrow...

Am, also try stock feed or rural supply stores, thats where I got one from.. 'Trading post' type paper, or look up chemical companies in your area from the yellow pages.. You have drum recyclers in queensland somewhere, some of the blue drums I bought had stickers on them saying they had been cleaned by a drum recycler in queensland, and if they do
drums, they will probably have bulkies..

Oh and the name bulka bins, or more commonly 'bulkies', seems to be slang derived from the term 'Intermediate Bulk Containers'.

Keep in mind that you can buy them new for $300, I have seen some people trying to charge $250 for second hand ones....

Do you have a 'visy packaging' office in QLD, they have bought out www.bialcrow.com.au who sell used bulkies and blue drums..

Hi all,
Was ondering whether Murray who is producing those fabulous grow beds has made any progress on his tank production? If it's rectangular shaped like his beds rather than the standard round or square shape I will be indebted to him forever!
This forum is so cool - so many talented and enthusiastic people actually helping one another out instead of just trying to make a buck. So many more folks are going to try aquaponics now becuase of the opportunities that forum members are providng with their ingenuity and hard work.

Hi Aeon,
No not finished as yet..... sorry...... It will be soon....

And yes, it is rectangular, near same size as grow bed but 900mm deep.
They will look really neat all in a row, tank, and 4 or 6 grow beds....can't wait.... neither can my Jade perch which are growing really well.

As soon as is finished I will post pix on the forum

Murray
