Hey FF, got any of those float valves left? Might need a couple for next sump tank and BIG fish/water supply tank.

I found my receipts today, 19mm poly taps about $4 from B

Jaymie are those the green tap ones from B....

Looked at them but they seemed to have a plastic grill incorporated which I thought might cause problems with solids...

If we're talking about the same ones have you had any problems with them blocking?

yep, they are the green ones, haven't seen any blocking. But, every few days there seems to be a slight change in the flow and I fiddle with various taps (partly cos its fun) and things go back to normal. I think you're going to get blockage problems eventually with any plumbing equipment. Just open them up every now and then to clear them out.

J I thought flow trates had changes in my system, and fiddled with the taps, but it was holes blocking in the irrigation. A good cleanout will be required every harvest I think

the irrigation is mostly easy to clear out on the blue drums, but the spirals of irrigation in the big and medium beds are buried under the gravel. I think every few weeks I'll open their taps right up and blast the pipes clear.

Yep, I progressively turned one bed on at a time to clean them out. Any stubborn blocked holes got a pipe cleaner shoved up em

just run an appropriatly sized drill up the guts of the green valve (when they are fully open of course!) removes the grille!

Thanks Steve, good idea.... just wasn't sure I was looking at the same B valves that everyone else, nobody had seemed to say anything about the "grille" that I could remmeber reading.
