I'm particularly taken by how you mix the utilitarian barrel rack/frame and the prettied up wooden clad beds.
I guess mainly the fact that I wouldn't have thought of the design of that frame and I'm a welder (and a little egotistical - I both hate and love someone showing me an elegant solution that I missed... ).

the barrels are a different system... mine... ;-)

I'll be watching you as well then!
When I get home on sunday I'll have to check out your thread for more inspiration. And maybe steal a few of ideas... :D

But don't make the mistake I did... Drain needs to go through the bottom, I installed it in the side wall, because I didn't get the right parts. ;-)

i think you might profit from getting the water in from both ends. i think the water won't mix properly and will take a shortcut from inlet to outlet and the second half of the bed goes stagnant.

Pretty much my thoughts too. Ill drop down to 13mm after the tap and send water to the middle of each narrow end. I have also been considering ways to retrofit to FD in the future if needed.

I still have doubts about my decision to try cucumbers in an AP system, especially this time of year (a lot of rain and humidity) but so far these look good.

Great growth for just under 3 weeks. The bigger leaves are the size of my hand.

Here are some radishes I put in less than 2 weeks ago. I will plant another row this weekend.

The basil is also going well and the parsley is just coming up. I just threw whatever I had on hand into the bed to see what works at this stage. No real method yet.

All except the two chillies in the back have been planted from seed on grand final day... so 24 days old.

No fish in the pond yet, just tadpoles at this stage.
