Was looking at the restricted water flow yesterday arvo and had a rush of s@#t to the brain

Decided the tommies had given enough fruit and thought I should yank them from the system.

Results follow

I think the lesson here is whilst you can grow tommies in a restricted space its a pain to remove them, oh well gotta learn the hard way

have some strife getting it out

Don't think it would take you THAT long to get the chainsaw out les!:)

Gnash, yeh, tell me about the tommies :Shock: i pulled one of my three out the other day...........it had given all it had. Roots looked like yours. Half of my bed is draining slower than the other half. I'm certain its the tommy roots, not any solids accumulation

I just wish I could get tomatoes to grow enough to have roots like that.

DT, the tomato took awhile to take and then went like mad

I am planting from seed and not transplanting...not sure what I am doing wrong but will keep working on it

Mine were from seed but I cheated and sprouted them in dirt first!

Pity you had to hack your tube up, that was some serious root growth. How have your nitrates responded with the tommies removal?
