Jayendra, greetings.

Nice system you are creating, will watch updates.

I am still searching for more active aquaponics keepers in India. Initially I thought you were in India by your name and :) there is a place called Warrangal... but now I know there is Warragul in Australia. He he...

Well I've filled the system with :
spring onions
red onions
cos lettuce
basil
lebanese cucumbers
tomatoes (black russian, tommy toe, father tom, pink pearl, patio, grosse lisse)
jalapenos
capsicum cali wonder
red russian kale
lebanese eggplants

I figure the lettuce and onions are our staples and will be quick harvesters before the caps and tomatoes take over the space.

Not sure if the fish are still alive (river stone brown water) but found 2 floaters last week.

Constant flood
:?: How much is too much or little water through the growbeds.

Too much water would be too fast for the drain to drain the water causing an overflow. Too little... ? If your capsicum is a California Wonder, shouldn't it be called a bell pepper as it is called in California?

Thanks for the reply maggie.

The drains are coping fine - just wasn't sure what optimal flow is - I guess because its constant flood - more water causes the bottom water to move more which is good to stop anaerobic?

Bell peppers - what are they :support: joke
they are called capsicums in australia. and hot ones are called chillis

As long as your turning your water volume over approx once per hour, there are some equations for retention times somewhere.

My other system (warragul j) has a timer 15/45 and a 3000lph pump - works fine.

Yes, I know that that is what they are called there, but I figured that since they were Californian, they might feel more at home if you called them bell peppers :geek:

Its river pebbles 4mm or 6mm? can't remember.
I got it from the local concrete supplies - only problem is it makes brown dam water (not the milo colour of scoria which clears) and this stuff doesn't clear up without a water change, unless you wash it.
