Thanks Rupe, it's always good to know you are in support of new ideas, design, adaptation and eventually evolution!

Sorry Bioaqua.. but I don't see any real "new ideas, design, adaptation.. or evolution" in anything on that site...

Looks like a pretty standard... but poor... permaculture soil garden to me.... but frankly I've seen a 1000 soil gardens that had healthier plants...

Not sure how you think that this represents an evolution in AP... let alone it having a commercial basis...

Is the system run to waste... or somehow recirculating?

You don't see? I understand...it took you 10 year to discover the benefits of a TIMED F&D system!
....maybe one day you'll understand this one too...

I was not talking about having this on a commercial basis anyway....it's for my personal pleasure and my portfolio (V.A.C system Vietnamese style! and a few more twigs and you'll have a way more eco-friendly than any of your hobby craft systems)

Thanks for sharing this link BAF. Loads to learn. Gone over the pictures, look good and have a question on the media... it looks like they used mud/compost soil mix stuff in growbeds... doesn't it de-color the pond water? One of the questions from the farmers is Can we use soil as a medium for AP growbeds like the way Aztecs used mud in the Chinambas?

Always interesting to see how someone else has done something. I enjoyed the link BA and considering the materials he used I thought he did pretty well. I would have changed the drain to make the water level more adjustable without having to dig the pipe out or pile up more soil but not a big deal.

Wicking bed it's a well known methods, and yes it adopt soil too, Paul from earthangroup show some interesting stuff which is not a run to waste system, he stated that the water colour was brown due to tanning and other soil particle.... and it's something I myself looking in to.
Plus there is the mycofilter and other aquatic plants that had to be integrated to make a natural system work in harmony.

Which one did you get Yavimaya?

This is the one I was looking at mainly because of the higher resolution and 6 leds.

That looks like it would be good for most pipes Sleepe. Are you just thinking about this for general use in case there's a problem or are you looking to see something else within the piping?

I am planning on making a RFF with a biofilter alongside/combined I want the endoscope to look at the bottom to check on gunk buildup to see when it needs emptying. No doubt it will be useful for other things too. :)

Fair enough, if it doesn't work it will get relegated to the toolbox for fixing the car. :)
I might have to go with Bioaqua's suggestion and drop a waterproof torch in on a bit of string. :)
