Tailor fishing - was the scales cleared after putting the plate, rag and metal ruler on the scale. ;)

Also some one mentioned fish off the chew and I have found varying appetite in mine lately. Some days they go nuts then others they don't eat at all.
Just the change in weather I reckon.

Yep... They were feeding this morning, but very, very tentatively, it took about a minute to finish the handful of pellets... fed them tonight before I went home and they smashed the same amount of pellets down in under 10 seconds and were looking for more, I gave them a second handful and they finished them in about the same time... the Amm's gonna be up a bit 2mrw me thinks... but gotta get some weight on them before the warm weather hits.

My brother called me yesterday and said he found a floater, temps in kal hit 37deg and I'd say pushed the water temp up above 25deg. Might need to fish the others out just in case.

Pulled out 16 Trout this morning, most were around the 700 gram with a couple of smaller SWB models amongst them. The biggest was 872 grams. Plan on harvesting the remaining 150 odd over the next week or so.

Its not hard to catch some at the moment. Currently using a large Barra landing net. I will revert to my usual method once the numbers have thinned out. Two poles with bird netting with chain across bottom

Got home from work today to find four fish freshly deceased on the bottom of the tank; another died as I was fishing the others out. Water temp 24. According to my dinner tonight, summer is here??? The remaining toughies will have to survive until the weekend and then it's hiatus time for the system until the temps are consistently high enough for barra.

Five fish, avg weight around 700g each.

My tank hit 20c yesterday. Hoping to get them through for another month, but don't like my chances unless the weather stays kind. The trout are still feeding strong. Silvers feeding well too.

I remember a few years ago a mate of mine used his webber to smoke fish, anyone done this?... any pointers?... I'm bringing 2 or 3 fish home tomorrow night. I've never tried smoking, the only smoker I've seen working was one my dad built in our backyard when I was a kid, it was one brick lined pit where the wood was burnt, joined by about 5-6m of 6" terracotta pipe to another brick lined pit where the fish hung.

Mine would have been pushing close to that today... probably had something to do with the 38+ air temp...
