Hi Lloyd try overiding the timer and pump full time to clear the water and scoop the bottom of the tank with a fine net if there is any uneaten food or debris. Water clarity should improve quickly. Glad to hear it is going well now. :)

Ok things have been going very nicely harvesting lots of Brocolli, Kale, Fennel, Lettuces etc but I very quickly ran out of growbed space so I decided to add a few blue barrels to the system.

I have pretty much finished the upgrade but I seem to be having some flow issues. I'm finding that with the timer on 45 off 15 on, the growbeds are not filling within the time, the water is now being pumped into 3 different beds. I have played with the valves to even out the flow between the 3 but I have to leave the pump on full time to get flow draining out of all 3. I'm using a 3000l/h pump at the moment...

Do I need a bigger pump?

Here are the pics of the setup

Even turned on full time the power wasn't enough.

I have since bought and upgraded to a 7000l/h pump, WOW, couldn't believe the extra grunt, there is pressure to spare, I had to play around a fair bit with valve and standpipes as the flow was so strong. Plenty more expansion room now :headbang:

thanks, the greenhouse is a bunnings one (MAZE). Not all bunnings stock them but they can be ordered in

I shall have to update with some pictures tomorrow, after losing half my barramundi at the beginning I managed to save 6 with some salt management. Now those 6 are looking a decent size. The daytime temps are 17-19 degrees so I'm thinking I should be scooping them out tomorrow although they are still feeding happily.

Time for trout? Did no one else in perth do barramundi this year?

Nah I had planned to, but it all got too hard to get ahold of any at a good size at the right time so I'm hanging out to get some trout in the tank.

yeah I decided to give them a go, her in doors doesn't like all the bones in trout so we're hoping for relatively boneless fillets from the barra :)
