Looks good mate!
Don't be concerned about plant growth/health for the first 2 months, while the system is stabilizing it is hard to know if the system lacks certain nutrients etc.

Thanks for the tip, I'm trying not to micro-manage, as that seems to cause the most trouble

I'm thinking that the results are due to the maxi crop I added, I'll give it a another day and retest then do a 25% change if the results are still high :)

Maxicrop doesn't contain any ammonia...

Your ammonia/nitrite readings are from another source... :D

Seasol does not contain ammonia either...

It will help feed the plants... but wont assist with the cycling process...

Hmm, It looks like it doesn't need any more Hummonia haha..

My GB is only 150mm deep, so over the weekend I am digging it up and re planting in some 30cm deep tubs (the same as the FT and ST :D

Will that affect the bacteria?

I am amazed that the nitrification process has started after such a short time, in such a shallow bed...

Deeper bed... more media surface area... more nitrifying bacteria potential...
