Here is my tilapia system. The point of this system is to develop a breeder colony and eventually grow duckweed for fish food from this system. Any suggestions or helpful hints would be very much appreciated!

Here is a video of me going over how the system works

Weighing fish for the first time

They out grew the tanks in no time and we had to harvest some

Here is the most updated videos we have on them. Trying to figure out who will be our breeders.

Results! Hopefully we will have some baby Tilapia soon!

We have on our website more about what our long term goals are, feel free to check us out.

you'll be able to grow some duckweed, and supplement your fish food with it.. but for best growth of your fish (and where's the plants? that's an aquaculture system) and plants, you need good nutrient inputs, duckweed alone won't cut it..

I went ahead and embedded your YouTube videos. All you need to do us put everything that was in after YouTu.be/ between the YouTube brackets. We prefer that people not link externally.

Thanks Ronmaggi for the help. yes duckweed is on the menu plus some black solider fly larva to make it a balanced meal! Hopefully we can get them on a all home grown diet but we may have to supplement a bit.

As nice as it would be, BSFL and duckweed will not give your fish everything they need. They will cut down on the amount of commercial feed you need.
