I never understood why people do the ibc setup like that. Does not seem cost effective at 100 a piece. You could buy lumber and liner for a lot cheaper.

I'm not sure you're right about that. Prices for lumber, liner and IBC's vary from place to place. Sometimes IBC's are free or very cheap - just looking locally it's anywhere from $50 to 130 dollars for an IBC. I didn't notice if Thuglaw mentioned the cost for his but it's also an advantage in some areas to not use wood (because of termites).

ibc is 25$ here and sometimes free only thing expensive here is pvc we dont get the thin pvc only the high pressure one we get here
