A place to discuss aquaponics

It looks like we might be able to pull of at least one smallish Far North Queensland meeting this Easter. People are checking their diaries this week, but it might possibly take place either on the weekend of 7th and 8th, or the next weekend of the 14th and 15th. :bunny:
I am crossing my fingers that MCPHRO, and Jaymie will be able to attend, as well as a couple I have befriended here in Cairns (whom I am trying to get to join as members). FNQ Ap addicts who might be able to attend let me know - it will simply be an informal meet and greet - followed by the sacrificing of my barra on the altar of the BBQ :

If there are more people interested we will start to make more plans in detail :tongue3:

Today MCPHRO and I met for the first time and discussed AP (we found that we had a lot in common, and chatted about a LOT of things). His plans are developing realy well and he has the fantastic opportunity to travel down the coast and pop in at schools which are doing Ap or straight Aquaculture. (wish I could accompany him :toothy3: )

We might not be brothers, but the more we chatted the more we had in common (besides for short hair and glasses!)

Seriously though... An easter AP meet and greet. BTW FYI Aquamad, MY Brother in Law and his dad now want to start a system in the backyard...


We are slowly converting the family... cool... I am hoping they will also be at the meet...

But since im now batching because my wife is in Cairns for the next month and I will be in Gladstone, I am now thinking of all the trouble I can get into at home while the wife is away... While the wife is away, the men shall surely play opps, do aquaponics!

Actully im not sure slowly converting is the right term... more like converted already. Ben was talking about creating his own system on the way home and that has spread to his dad 2 hours later

The offer stands for him - if he wants to pop around and just talk AP, I am a phone call away - I might not have all the answers, but as you saw, I am willing to try out and idea and experiment (woohoo, more mud and cables!)

btw, are they goint to go for the IBC's? I can give him the addy of where I bought mine if he is.
