I didn't build the frame first. I was just stating that the tubular frame was the plan, after I got the troughs. The way I worded it, I can see why that was your train of thought.

Too heavy and too much room. I'm making a nice, clean stand out of 1 1/4 square tubing and I need beds that will just drop in. I found some food grade 2'x4'x1' for $60 each but I'm looking more in the $20-30 range.

Seems aresabout to me to be building frames before you have troughs

More options for just liners:

Tuff Stuff Products has a pretty wide selection of animal feeders and water trays in a good range of sizes. Something from their site might work. TSC carries a lot of their products in store; special order via the catalog. The contractor size mixing tub is a good one (30x60x12")

Did you find you could get the rest of the tuff tub lineup special order from TSC? I would have liked to get that contractor tub but had to settle for a bunch of the smaller (2'x3'x8") because they said they couldn't get in anything other than their normal stock... I'd really like to get some of the kmr75 tubs as they have the drain port in the side that a 1.5" PVC fitting threads into nicely. I currently use the 110 gallon tanks as fish tanks, soon to expand to some 140's as well.

I like the tuff tub products as they have more structure than trough liners so come out to a cheaper per square foot product once you figure put using the trough liners (very flimsy plastic that you really need to have thoroughly supported. If you were to use plywood and 2x's to build a box and use the trough liner would be about right. They sag and droop readily. If you build enough support for them they're a great liner, I'm just saying I like the tuff tubs as they are a thicker self supporting plastic.

I actually ordered a Bulk Bin from Agway, however... when we ordered it, the listing stated that it was 36" high and when it arrived, it was only 14" tall at the base of the liner. They said that they could no longer get the 10' long 36" high model and the 5' long 36" high model was more than the 10' model. I simply asked them to supply blocks, at no charge as it was their mistake and they quickly declined...so, going to TSC tomorrow!
