Dunno , I will put some in the post for you as I have them as well. Will try a molasis spray on them but not holding out a lot of hope for it. Best to just get a pump up sprayed and just jet them off with water

I think i made a mistake today, got some "algae eaters" in the moment from a pet store today and was told they will be fine with no additional food and would be fine with my other fish, long story short googled them when i got home and i now have three chinese algae eaters in the tank with my SP.

Yea, even when those Chinese algae eaters speak English, I have a hard time understanding them...

Not really, I was the only white kid in my neighborhood that could understand my Asian friends parents.

Do you have no access to lady beetles?? Aphid population may be imported by ants...
Lady bugs or Mantids to eat 'em... ant watch to be sure they're not being carried in.

I have done the ant watch and can't find anything the only ants i get here are costal brown ants and they normally stand out. I got some marigolds that are flowering and a dill plant yesterday to try and attract some lady beetles.

due to bad weather and other commitments it had been about 8 weeks since i got any work done on the new system but managed to put in about 20 hours over the last 5 days and got the rubble in the old pond cleared, the base broken up and cleared, all earth moving done, holes dug and leveled, tanks in place and everything set up am now only waiting on gravel for the new grow beds, then bring on more fish,

Living dangerously there putting the water line so close to the top. Better figure out a good method to keep fish from exploring outside their tank.

I must admit to having not really read your thread here but just looked at the pictures. You have lots of tank space but only a small amount of grow bed. Please make sure you don't put many fish in each tank since each grow bed is probably only appropriate to support between 12-16 fish.
