Actually, most appearances of bare toed shoes seem to have been by "mods" and high posters...

some sort of secret "masonic" type identification signal maybe????

or signature of rank???

Your posts are starting to climb RoOZ, promise me you will not give in to the dark side... Or just find out there 'secrets' and let us lowly people know 8)

Well, what a saga.....

In my enthusiasm to spread the gospel of AP and some blantant begging and scrounging around for freebies...

I managed to attract the interest of a particular local real estate agent in town..... this blokes been trying to drive a wedge between myself and my landlady for years.

Probably because as soon as she bought the house (as an investment) I approached her to rent it, which I've done privately for about 5 years.

So he's into her ear (not the first time he's done so) about water usage and water restrictions.... council regulations, smells, noise etc etc etc...

After several months of to and froing and much reassurance and soothing placation (and the promise of some fish for Xmas) I've finally got the landladies go ahead... on the proviso that ...

I don't take up any more room than the existing soil garden does...

I don't use large amounts of water, and pay for any excess...

I don't contravene any council or fisheries regulations...

And that anything I build can be dismantled and removed from the property when I leave without leaving any structural damage or unsightly marks....

So they're the parameters I have to work within...

So I figure I'll start another thread... "from scratch to system" and outline as many of the steps that I can to build a working system....

With that in mind... here's the area I have to work within... the rest I will post in the new thread ... for design comment and critique...

Probably going to need some help along the way.

How big is this estate agent? Can you run him through a mincer and get a years supply of food?(fish food I meant)
Well you still have "some" space, take the oppurtunity to fill it up with plants! What does the landlady like to eat? hehe
Have fun

DD ... yeah there's space under the stairs ... 1100x1100x1100... could just fit an IBC, which was a thought I originally had, but left no room to get at the tank to feed fish etc... can't dig one in as the stair foundations might collapse and I can't run that risk with the landlady... still looking at another mega-bin option that would fit though, just a matter of cost.

GF, yep the chainsaw is no longer a part of this AP experiment..... but....

Axl, the real estate agent is a big tall bloke.... maybe the chainsaw has a purpose yet LOL

No longer on my Xmas list and from what I hear not to popular with a few other people around town either... did hear that he'd been invited to go on a deep sea fishing trip.... LOL

You could fit a bathtub full of piranha under the stairs and then rig up a trapdoor aka Bond and then when this estate fella comes around... (no need to mince then).
