The rest are growing well.

Ive found our winter nights to be way too cold to get any decent growth this early on in the year. Late september should start seeing some improvement in feeding rates.

Mine have gone right off the feed the past couple of days due to the cold too, but I reckon they'll be back on it in a few days when it gets up to near 20C maxima again. Frosty nights and 12C max is a bit too cold for them.

Mine are scoffing their pellets. Water temps have been back down to 13 deg this week. I plan on catching a couple tomorrow morning to smoke for the weekend so I'll make sure I get a couple of photo's

My one that i have left (which wont be harvested till end of season so i can win) thinks its a goldfish, eats plenty but is very casual about the whole thing.

since it only gets fed at night and can hardly be seen, it looks like a whale breaching when it eats :)

That's toasty! My FT was 7.5 deg yesterday morning, and 8.5 this morning. If the tanks weren't buried, it would be even lower.

I tried to move 9 fish to a new tank a 2 couple of weeks ago with a fishing net, unfortunately the wide netting meant 2 fish got stuck by their gills. One returned no problems, the other...... belly up surface swimming. I ate him within 5 minutes. Gave up on net & borrowed a neighbors pool leaf skimmer for the rest of the moving.

The trout tasted great (my first ever ap trout- approx 28cm) but the flesh was beige & pale. I have since started feeding them on larger BYA pellets that apparently contain high levels of carotin which should start giving the flesh a nice yellow tinge.

No photo, sorry. Will be sure to post in the next yew months once the harvesting begins. Currently they range in size from 20-30cm (most around 26cm at a guess). Is everyone else experiencing similar sizes at the moment??

Not here, my largest would be around 20cm or so, but they did only go in just under 10 weeks ago, all were under 10cm then.
