I had a system put together for less than $200 on another forum; in VIC. That proof of concept has seen me contracted by family and friends in NSW to build, with their budget!

After 1.5 months looking like this due to a recurring leaking IBC valve, I found a (relatively( cheap easy fix for this issue.

And here it is planted out, and my portable vortex filter for clearing systems up quicker from all the fine clay that this areas scoria is full of.

Thanks Charlie!

It's "white" scoria, and looks even better in person. I'll probably fill this bed up a bit more; I'm considering edging this system in timber possibly.

I had to try and fit the system in colour wise to the surrounding retaining wall blocks, within budget.

I'm spoilt for scoria price from my time in VIC; red scoria is $195 for a cubic metre here in NSW!

Here's my pilot system, that went from this

to... THIS, after going away for three weeks with no-one looking after the system/feeding the couple of goldfish in the system.

As you can see, it was all scrap materials. However this didn't stop me trying all the tech I could manage:
Venturi, SLO, raft beds, auto siphons, etc.

This system is long since re-homed in VIC

And some produce photography to lure Faye into the thread, marigolds and miniature roses grown in AP; and I've forgotten which variety of tomato's.
