Basic layout

Blue IBC 325gal will be the fish tank. Probably going to go with crappie.

Yellow are the bottom halves of 2 275gal IBC for the sumps connected through the ball valves.
Pump in the sump closest to the fish tank with the slo style pick up in the fish tank

Green is the 2 top halves of the 275gal IBC along with another split 275gal IBC creating 4 growbeds. Media will be river rock ranging from 1/2" to 3/4" in size. There will be additional bracing helping support the growbed weight.

Drains in the growbeds I keep getting drawn to the auto siphon style, but haven't nailed it down to one particular style yet.

Today I picked up a couple blue barrels to use for fruit trees, and tomorrow I plan on getting a list of plumbing needed. Hopefully I will have everything tomorrow except gravel to actually put the system together.

Well got a little more done yesterday evening. As you can see I shifted away from my original lay out of 4 beds with 2 sumps, and well basically the lazy came out in me I didn't want to build support stands.

Got the sumps connected as well.

Hmm looks like my images are having issues. I used Tapatalk, but guess I will need to do it through the forum on the laptop.

Well here is today's overall picture. Got the standpipes, feed lines, and one guard done. Will probably go get some pond water today to ease the price of water.

Got all the gravel in, but still need some more in the third bed.

Moving gravel sucks doing it with 2 five gallon buckets at a time.

Hello mate, looking good.
You could cut your gb's down to the horizontal support which will ease the weight on the st and let you fill up your 3rd gb.
You might want to slap some paint on the ibc's to stop the algae growing.

Added some temporary algae protection.

Also planted a few tiny plants I started from seed in one of those Small greenhouse trays.

One week growth.
Image

In the second bed I had a couple plants, but they all died like the trunk rotted or something right at the gravel. Plants look really healthy until then. I still have new plants starting to pop up in the bed.
