After many attempts leaks, and failures.

My system is 10 half blue barrels for grow beds and 2 IBCs for a fish tank and sump.

Now to start cycling and for the sand in the water to settle out.

Photos to come soon due to a light problem for photos (nighttime)

A video clip may be coming soon.

My mum's school was given away some goldfish and I got 4 of them.

The ammonia, nitrates and nitrites are still to high for my main fish.

On the 23rd however I found one of them stuck and dead in one of the pipes.
On the 29th I saw the remaining three for the first time.

Today I found another one of them stuck in the same pipe. However I found it in time and was able to get it out before it died.

Your system looks like SLO from FT to sump... pump up to GB... gravity return to FT. Is that correct? Are your GB constant flood or do you use siphons? Is your pump timed or constant run?

Which pipe are the fish getting stuck in?

I'm wondering about the overflow from the FT to the sump. Is that to handle rising levels due to rain?

yes, siphon, constant. (Although the SLO is currently only an overflow. with a sponge to stop the fish in it for now.)

The 1st small pipe was the ones they got stuck in but I believe I have stopped the fish now.

The 2nd pipe was due to the first not being able to handle the normal water flow.

Bit of a disaster today.

I was trying a fogaponic-like system and the wind came and scatted the clay and plants and so I must begin again.

First harvest of a few leaves tonight.
