Iceman did you know that if you slice them off at bed level and leave the roots behind they will regrow just like celery and chinese veges like tat soi? Very nice looking leeks. :grin:

i did find that out today... ut i also want to clear the growbed for some spring crops and also allow some of the smaller onions and leeks the chance for some sunlight...lol

Bit of an onion harvest tonight!!

i wanted to to free up more growbed space for spring/summer crops so these all had to come out.

They had bolted and not developing a bulb properly but they will still taste the same ad will go well. will be passing some on to family and friends.

while harvesting the onions i found this in one of the growbeds... i had to remove it as if left to grow it might get a bit big (see next photo for parent plant)
