that is a pretty big pond you are building there for the fish and your Aquaponics system.

Cheers

btw... I work in a wastewater treatment plant and on sewage pump stations. I reckon we should use the nutrients out of our sewage ponds for a big Hydroponics setup and grow something useful like bamboo or whatever grows here to extract oil out. ;-)

i'll chime in.. i'm soon to be 50, married to Helen, 4 kids and 2 stepkids, 1 grandaughter, and a grandson on the way
i spent 4 years in the navy, anti submarine warfare, anti air warfare and anti surface warfare (radar operator) - not much call for that in civvy life, so i got into drafting and autocad way back when it was 2.5d (2 and a half dimension)
ended up taking care of the computers at every office i did drafting in, so went into doing pc stuff, moved on to servers and have been working on them for a while now
my main hobby for almost 2 years has been the ever expanding ap system..
my mandolin, octave mandolin, and fiddle have been gathering dust, i suck at all 3 but can pick a couple tunes on the mando, gave up the fiddle cuz the shoulder was blown out, might pick it up again (when nobody is home)... maybe i'll start playing to the fish...

Trying to get a development environment up to build a website on my local linux box.

Do you have any idea why I can see my index.html file when I point my browser to "localhost", but it returns "Error not found" when I point my browser to "localhost/index.html" or index.php, or index2.html or anything at all. The only time I see anything is when I just go to local host.

127.0.0.1 also works, but 127.0.0.1/index.html gives me an error.

It's driving me nuts. This is day two of searching now :)

[OOps sorry people, this was meant to be a pvt.]

That's a pretty bad commute you have there.

Jeez man, do you have to do decompression stops on the way back up?

Just think, you can stop and piss over the edge... and cause an avalanche.

Can't think of any more one-liners at the moment.

did you create the "index.html" file?
it's usually "default.htm" or html.. have you tried renaming the file?
i don't work a lot with linux yet (just starting to get more into it..) but have you tried putting in the full path?
in windows it would be \inetpub\wwwroot\index.html when browsing from the localhost

Thanks keith.

Full path and a cache clear did the trick.

If TV is anything to go by, I think cider drinking is one of those timeless skills that's been around since Robyn Hode was a lad.

I'm pretty sure "cider drinker" even gets a diplomatic status at UN conventions.

Either way, I've never been wrong before*, so I'm pretty sure you get some kind of extra cider status.

Which is nice.

*actual reality may differ from that depicted

Sleepe: I was in the British forces for a while. But you can buy old decommissioned tanks pretty easily, shipping is a killer though!

RupertofOz: When I did my training in the south of England you would be amazed at how many people cut you up on the road!

I run a shop of Boilermakers mostly building Dust extraction and Ventilation ducting for mine sites, I've been in the metal trade since 1985, I also use Camduct and Autocad for developing parts for the Boilermakers to fabricate, my aquaponics setup has no steel used other than the cages that came with the IBCs. :)
