Yeah Theron don't trust Ron. He's a pirate, you never know with that type. :)

My four year old called Ron a pirate too this afternoon. I was reading a post when all the sudden I hear, "Pirate" behind me.

Too funny.

Yea, my young fella asked me a couple of days ago if 'that man' was a real pirate as he looked over my shoulder at Rons avatar. Of course I replied - "yes!"

Does that mean when Ron moderates... he's not so much enforcing the rules... more just giving guidelines... :D

Finally got around to doing the guards. Now that I can see the water level I noticed that one of the beds wasn't getting enough flow to fill up to where I wanted it. This morning I got up and lowered the height of the suction from the pump to give me more flow. Now all the beds fill properly.

While I was at it I also built a trellis out of all the extra PVC pipe I had laying around, which will keep the cucumbers out of the way of all the other plants. I did the same for the tomatoes with the extra wood I had. All in all, feeling a lot better with the garden now.

Here are some pictures for you all.

I had to move a basil plant to make room for the cucumber trellis

System is still going good. I do have a quick question though. Are tilapia know to be jumpers? I don't have a net system in place yet and was wondering if I should be concerned.

Thanks,

Theron

It is a good idea to net it to keep predators out too. You don't need your neighbor's cat snacking on your fish.

I noticed some flashing tonight. I'll have to go get some salt tomorrow. So thankful for the forum, otherwise I would never have known what was going on with the fish.

Here are a few close up pictures of some of the plants. The bigger basil plants were added to the bed as starts, the other little ones along with everything else were seeds sprinkled in the beds. I have read that people have issues with starting seeds in the beds, but for some reason they don't have any issues in mine so far. I'll consider myself lucky.
