I have seen a rather crude drawing on those plugs Ron. Quite entertaining but not appropriate for the BYAP forums.

Perfect size for toddler fingers. Which is why all our electrical outlets have plastic plugs in them. Pain but it has to be done.

Regards, Martin.

Check out the mad biofilm carpet building up in my FT. This happens every winter for some reason and it looks super cool waving around with the water movement. It sort of starts out like a film and keeps building up into fingers of slimy goodness.

Does it disappear on its own or do you remove it?
Maybe it should be composted. :)

I had that last year. Thought i was having algae problems!

Mine went away as the days got longer and warmer. Counter-intuitive for algae i know... But i was new :P

Yep, as the weather warms it seems to dissipate on its own, or maybe a combination of the perch munching on it etc.

Harvested some chinese cabbage from the DWC today. Some of the roots were over a metre long.

Lovely growth Charlie. Are the holes from insects or target practice? :)

Work has blocked me from going onto cricinfo to follow the Ashes so I can't see you Aussies take another bollocking from the poms. :(

Hmmm, as a Safa I still have many strong memories of gut wrenching losses to the Aussies. Fourteen years on and THAT game still makes my stomach turn.

To say that I am not enjoying this would be a lie. The only problem with this series is that the Poms are winning. 8)

I have tried all permutations but I can't find one where BOTH sides lose.
