My startup was a rocky one. I wouldn't define it as fishless but I don't honestly know as my circumstances are different than the norm...so here ya go, you be the judge. I should of posted about 90% of the info in the link on this thread...hindsight
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17075

I planted seeds as soon as the first bed was put online but can't remember without reading that link. The rest of the seeds were put in sporadically...helk I'm still putting seeds in and whatever chooses to sprout will get dealt with as the whole picture unfolds

I knew I should of painted the beds but again...hindsight. I'm sort of throwing this together as I go since its really a testing system and will eventually design one that's purdy :) Our farm is in rock country so when I get the time I'll start collecting and designing with them. I plan on that FT always being there so it will be the first to have a rock wall surrounding it.

Ground for troughs are finally done and LEVELED :) I don't think I'm gonna be happy with the transition between trough 1 and 2 so I'm gonna probably try my luck at using stone and mortar to make a mini retaining wall. I also don't trust a couple areas to not collapse in the distant future if I don't. I now would like to have both of them on the same slowly sloping leveled ground but I'm just not willing to mess up what I just finished. I'll kick myself later if I don't but...
