Note for self... cycle complete.

Hi Charlie, Tried that with my Barra few years back. Only run temp at 24 is enough. I feel the Nitrites and Amm will start to get away and have to do constant water changes,\. Which will become PITA.
I ended up having to put a couple of BBs at the back (BioFilter, K1) then pump back into aquarium.
Also forgot to put the glass tops back on after feeding and few jumped out. I had 50..X..50mm and feel that should only had 1/2 that.
Having that extra 300-400 litres makes the difference.

Missed you post Chainsaw, yea water changed have been constant to keep water parameters in check. Bit anoying but I feel it has been worth it so far. My next winter project will be of a much grander scale.

Thought Id take a couple of snaps of my tandanus tandanus. They are growing nicely, feeding morning and night. I love watching these little guys, they are so peaceful while they are swimming around.

I quite like them, we have a couple outside, a little slow growing but still nice fish..

In the shed, EB. Heated aquarium. They have been slow growing considering how much they eat. Id put them down to one of the coolest fish Ive owned. Its a shame I wont be able to take them with me at the end of the year.

Little update on the project now that summer temps are looming. Little cats have grown nicely but Im not sure if they are big enough to put in with the silvers in the AP? Any suggestions welcomed. I thought about leaving them in the aquarium but Id say it would get too hot eventually so they will need to go in the big tank at some stage. Might have to floating basket again but Id rather not.

I think it will be safest if you also add a school of piranhas to oversee matters Charlie.
