Hello forum:

Was tinkering with my minature test setup and decided to change the L shape output to an U trap output on my working bell syphon. I also added a small drain hole in case of power loss. The results were no good. Constant drip due the hole but that was expected. The problem was the U trap. The GB would overfill before starting syphon and would never break it at the end. Would this be a scenario to add the air hose modification to the bell? I also tested with a 1/2" molded trap, I need to take pics. It sort of worked but never stopped the syphon either. So I returned to the simpler L shapped output with a 45 angle at the end for direction control. If youare wondering I have a 1" standpipe with a reducer to 3/4" so the drain is all 3/4" except the molded 1/2" trap. Any thoughts? Im just starting so assume I know nothing :)

Forget the "U trap"... and the breather tube.... adjust your flow into the grow bed.. to tune the siphon..
