I was told it was a type of lettuce. Very bitter when eaten raw. Unpalatable in fact. Haven't cooked it yet to see if the bitterness is removed. Grows like a champ.

Looks like it could be a Cos lettuce, if left too long they can become bitter.

Also, if nutrient levels are high they can become bitter, especially if you've salted the system. I'm experiencing this at the moment with Cos in my system, the first one I harvested about a month ago was nice, but one I harvested this week was bitter... and the nutrient levels in my system are much higher now than when I harvested the first one.

Know Cos lettuce - we think its not that.

Something about Asian greens was mentioned by the nursery.

Each time I hit Submit it would come up with an "SQL Error"... so I'd hit the back button and a page would open saying "This page unavailable" (or something similar)... so I'd hit the refresh tab and it would reopen but without my text, I'd then check the thread and no post there, so I'd re-paste the text, hit submit and the whole scenario would start again, three times it did it. The third time when I hit the refresh button and went to the thread all 3 posts were there???... On one occasion in amongst all that it came up with a different error message saying "SQL Error - Page gone away"... No Sh!t

Yeh, I saw that each time also Yavi, but every time I tried to go to the thread to read said new post I'd get the "SQL Error" thingy, then each time I refreshed and went to the thread to double check... there was nothing there but the OP's post... until the third time???

Thanks Arbe!... :thumbright:

...and what do you mean "now" Yavi...

For anyone who now reads this. Yavimaya is not an id10t. There was three posts in a row from Mr Damage.

In fact. I'll go a step further and day Yavimaya is a good member of the BYAP Forum. :D

Feel better Yavimaya?
