Is this looking good for an RFF filter?

I'm cutting into the existing pipe.
Flow in>>> Vertical T, pipe, 90 elbow, pipe, 45, pipe, 45, pipe

Hey I've lost the colour scale but I'm pretty sure that the PH has gone up again so I've removed the shell grit.

Thanks,
Is it just me or do they look bigger underwater - I think they must have grown a fair bit.

11 days of 2 stockings of shell grit on the inlet to growbeds (not outlet) and the P.H. has gone from 6.0 to above 7.6.

Just a bit of caution for future readers.
Timed cycle and occasional night time constant flood.

Fish have gone through nearly 2kg of food since I purchased them.
Made an RFF filter today with 2x 90mm uniseals and a blue barrel. Used a 40mm uniseal in reverse on the floor of the drum for the bottom drain so it didn't have a lip.

My water is currently spinning anti clockwise but I swear it was clockwise yesterday.

Have added a shade cloth across the top and the fish are swimming around more confidently. There was a slight green tinge to the edges of the tank which hopefully will disappear now.
I've been feeding the fish well and they really are splashing and leaping out. I reckon about 3-4 handfuls each feeding.

have played the 'stand close and peer down,... you will see them' while throwing food in. A few people have been splashed well so far :)

I think I checked once since starting fish and the ammonia was .25 or a slight yellow/green tinge.
