Hi all I’m new to this site and I'm in the planning stages of my first system. I have a quick question for you all.

It’s winter here in Perth, Western Australia and I have been monitoring the sunlight around the garden trying to decide on the best location to use.

I have 2 different sites I can use for the system but 1 site is only receiving direct sun light up until about 12.30pm (so about 6 hours of direct light) and is protected from our hot afternoon summer suns ( yes i know it’s winter here but i don’t want to move the unit in summer).

The 2nd site is shaded up until lunch time and then gets the afternoon sun for about 5-6 hours but has the sun bouncing off the side of the house in the afternoon, so in summer this could get hot for the plants.

I know both sites get around the same amount of sun but would it be better for morning or after noon sun.

It depends on the easterlies in summer, they will crispy your vegies in the morning after a stressful day's sun.

I have got idea about a 3rd location but would have to rip up some bushes first.
