Hahar Timbo....at this rate i will be lucky to put a meal on the table by christmas!

Update

Decided to rearrange the plants in my grow beds to maximise sunlight...bad idea! It's been around a fortnight now & they still look a little stressed. Next time will put a little more thought into the layout when planting.

Added an overflow to the FT in case the SLO gets Blocked ....FT water will return to the Sump.

Still running a constant flood but have tried lowering the water level in the beds by about 10mm, which gets it down to around 50mm below the media.

Since relocating the plants I have noticed that the plants along the edges of the growbed seem to be struggling ... I'm thinking the water flow is going straight down the middle of the bed, with the water along the edges remaining relatively stagnant.

The above photo shows the beds when I first started.....so I am going to try running the spraybars/water inlets down both sides of the bed I guess that should help distribute the nutrients more evenly.

And lastly I am a little worried about one of my RT....He has slowly but progressively turned a much darker colour than the other three & has gone off his food ....Any ideas ...anyone?

Thanks Charlie

That would be it, definitely the same colour difference ....but any ideas on why 'He' isn't eating & seems quite sluggish compared to the others?

Could be a number of things mate. Not an easy one to figure out sorry.

Usual things to consider..

DO
PH swing
Bullied
Rain/run off
Barometric pressure
Bird/cat attack
temp swing
stress

Just keep an eye on him. Maybe disturbing the media whilst replanting has dislodged something he didnt like. I lost about 12 of mine recently from a similar thing.
