Just had a phone call from Paul and together we have decided that it started with some white spot (he spotted the spot in my vid from 10 days ago), and with the drop in temps and heavy rain on the growbeds washing old bacteria into the tank, its kicked off some thing else.
He thinks the salt should clear it up, and suggested dropping it to 3ppt tomorrow which I will do. And try to keep it at 1 or 2ppt
My fault I guess as I should have salted when the trout went in
Will see how I go

Its good practice to salt to one or two parts when adding new fish. IMHO Just to reduce stress on the new fish and any that are already in there

Did a 20% water change this morning so salt should be around 4ppt. Fed a minimal amount to the trout this evening. Will do a full range of tests tomorrow
Fish look ok

Had a good look yesterday and one catfish has a dull patch on his head but that's it. All the rest look fine. Getting frosts most mornings at the moment so I am not feeding in the morning

11 trout harvested and 3 small jumpers that became yabby bait.
Anyhoo, I took the laserlite sheeting off the hoophouse today. It was a bad idea to put it up without bracing the hoophouse frame first. As you can see in the pic, the prevailing SW winds have bent it way out of shape. Got a rope on it now so hopefully in the heat of the day it will slowly pull back into shape then I will brace it in some way and put shadecloth over it for the summer

A couple of the smaller ones had kinks in the tails which I have never seen before
Had one for lunch and it was good and still had pink flesh which I was doubtful of since I ran out of the correct food a month ago
