Yes Jay, Tandanus tandanus or eel tailed catfish. Native to the murray darling system

Fed the trout tonight and noticed one of the catfish near the surface with large white patches. So had a good look and several of the big cats have this
Looked at the vid again that I took 10 days ago and no sign of it then.
Didn't have a lot of time (netball commitments with daughter) but managed to get half a bag of pool salt in there mostly dissolved. Should take it to 3-4ppt
Time will tell

Yeah , dunno what happened to get them to this stage of having large areas of white stuff in less than two weeks. Only change has been rain top ups :dontknow:

Three of the worst are swimming around near the surface looking real crook. The white patches are raised on seeing them in the light of day, so I might have to net them out and dispatch them if no improvement by this afternoon. :(

Have sent the pics to Paul so hoping he can help.
I put the other half of the bag of salt in today and it is now measuring 6-7ppt and moved the lone strawberry out to the greenhouse system
