Dont stress Lloyd. Im sure they are quite happy. They sometimes do that sideway swimming and looks like a flashing. Mine do that but have been happy for 3.5 years :thumbright:

Patience is the key here. Take it slowly and it will all work out.

Are you removing the uneaten food from your tank?

I'm removing the uneaten food thats still floating but anything that has sank gets mixed up with the silt at the bottom so too hard to find. Dropped a few worms in there tonight which they left alone but I'll check again in the morning

Starting to wish I had trout in there :D

yep, 1kg/1000L= 1ppt

so 1.5kg/1500L= 1ppt x 3 = 4.5kg

:)

Remember to count your sump water and add 40% of grow bed volume to give total water volume.

no sump but 500l growbed, 40% = 200l

so I'm thinking 4.7kg all up

I'll go pick some up in the morning

Woke up to 4 dead fish this morning, so 6 remaining. :(

Salted to 3ppt on Sunday (5kg)

Still can see some flashing in the remaining fish, is there anything else I can do?

Water values:

PH - 7.5
Ammonia - 1.0
Nitrite - 0.05

Ammonia creeping up, maybe a slight hint that the nitrite are about to arrive.

Remaining fish seem quite interested in worms for a change

What could have caused this, ammonia?, starvation? rotting food? stress? or something carried from where I got them 2 weeks ago?

What was your water temperature Lloyd? Was very, very cold in Jandakot this morning. Might have pushed sick fish over the edge
