Forgot to mention, I ran one of the Agg drains into the top of the pond also, this dverts a lot of surface run off from another 200+ M2 of gound and our water tank overflow also drains into it.

This ensures a pretty good % of water change every time we get a storm. Once the ground is wet it only takes about 30mm of rain to get the dam overflowing.

As Seamonkey has pointed out BF, if you hold out on us again like this there may be some kind of temporary banning or something.

You cant have a kick ass garden of eden like that and not share for 3 years!

How dare you!

Simply beautiful. Very jealous.

No more mossies here because of the ponds around the place, they all have fish in them, pretty much all bugs get eaten. The frogs love it and we get quite a few birds coming down in the dry seasons.

The only down side is that the toads also like it, but during the warmer months I patrol the yard a few nights a week wacking the Cane Toads and I scoop thier eggs / tadpoles out of the water evry time I see them.

Time to trim back the water plants before they take over, some are also looking a bit tired.

Before shots now , will post after shots when done. I want to leave plenty of plant cover in there for the Silver Perch fingerlings to hide in (from the predatory birds) , they also feed on the algea that grows on the plant stems and roots Etc.
