Looking good seamonkey.

I have heard the too much water will make your watermellon split. Have you heard anything similar?

With a constant supply of water they shouldn't split. Second year here growing rockmelons and none have split

Thats why I drink mostly Beer or Wine. Scared my melon will split  . On a serious note( and it is hard for me to do) I imagine it would only split if it was given a sudden burst of water,a bit like citrus when there is too much rain. I will report how it goes. These are smaller variety and only get up to 4kg

I have been out in the drizzle this morning. Bug patrol! Squashed heaps of Cluster Caterpillars that were so big you could almost ride  .
Looked under some Parsley and thought the Mother Ship had landed. A squash as big as my hand. Ive only been spotting the small ones and they have been turning brown and decaying before rippening. This one must have been sitting on the vine and sucking all the goodness.

Anyway, in my wisdom, :dontknow: I decided to move it out from its sheltered spot to get some sunlight and then I thought that probably wasn't a good idea as it was obviously happy where it was, so I moved it back and have now twisted the vine at the bottom of the squash :upset:
It will now probably die.
Moral of this story...
Leave things alone

 Maybe I will split my Entertainer system into two Courtyards and have second tank 1500 litres for trout/barra. :? Larger tank will be a few metres away from growbed and on a lower level. Or... I could just buy another Courtyard system :)
