Some of you have asked about my new system (my first actually), and eventually here are some details.

Firstly, this is where i will be erecting the system.

I designed the system in SketchUp and started working on the fabrication. Unfortunately, the designs were flawed, and I had to rework them.

This is the latest Design layout

Here are some pictures of the greenhouse fabrication in progress. Unfortunately, the green house has to be strong enough to keep out our monkeys, so it is not as easy as just a simple hoop structure.

Over the next few weeks I'll post progress.

Cheers

Another example of why photos should be attached to a post.... rather than as a "photobucket" embedded link....

Thanks Charlie,

The tenants who lived here before we bought this place had a tropical fish breeding business.
In this area they had a shade-cloth "tunnel" and several fish ponds where they bred a lot of their stock.

Unfortunately for us, they took their steel frames with them when they relocated.

Nice. Handy having that wall to work from and the concrete pads. Shame they took all the stuff with them.

p.s. Is that a really tiny horse or a very large dog?

Yeah it is quite cool having an area already set up. :thumbleft: Now I just need to order in some gravel for the area without concrete.

There are two small dogs in the picture, and one Shetland pony. He looks smaller in the picture than he actually is, because he is slightly downhill of the concrete slab.

The BIG dogs are out of picture. :D

I use SketchUp for designing my woodwork projects, and it is an awesome tool. It certainly saves me time and money to work out the designs before committing materials.
