Tony, I wish I could raise trout, I smoke them in my smoker with my own seasoning rubbed all over them, and with some adult beverage, oh my God, life is good.

And yes, in regards to vitamins and minerals, I think it is just fine. I forgot to mention that I have also added nutritial yeast. Have you checked the Azomite's list of stuff?
I started mixing a bit of Azomite in my chicken feed, not only the size of eggs have been increased, but also I see that they have been laying more eggs.

Sorry for late replay, I have not felt good for a while. Got few health issues that I have been dealing with the last 8 years.

Anyway, the food I make is very good and the fish eats it real good.
Here is what I do.

I use my blender (it is a very powerful one with one HP of power) to make flour out of corn, and soyabeans.

1. Corn 5 lbs
2. Soyabeans 5 lbs
3. Whole wheat flour 5 lbs
4. Powdered whole milk 1 container, I believe it is about 2 lbs
5. Garlic powder about 2 cups
6. Nutritional Yeast 1 cup
7. Azomit 1/2 cup
8. whole eggs to include the shells 12
9. Sugar 2 cups
10. salt 1/2 cup
11. Some olive oil, but never measure that one. Just eyeball some in there when mixing, so it does not turn into glue to your hands.

First; I put all the eggs into the blender, and blend the heck out of them, to include the shells.
Then in a bucket I mix all the stuff together. Then add the egg mixture on the top, and use both hand to mix it all together. It seams real dry at first, but after mixting it hard, it kind of bind all together.

Then I put the oven to 180 F degree; sprerad the mixture on a tray, and place it in the oven to get it real dry.

After about an hour or so, the whole thing gets dray and hard.
I break them apart, bag them, and place in freezer.
Just keep worth of a week of food out. I have a stone mortar, I use that to break them into small pieces for one week.

Too bad I can not do this all the time. I am out of it right now, and have no energy to make more. So, at the present time, I am using the fish foos I buy from Tractor supply.

Sorry again for delay with the recipe.

Dave Donley, I dont live all that far from you, I was wondering how you go about getting those deals on feed? Are you going to the mill that supplies Zeigler or are you getting it from them directly? I would be willing to drive the two hours to pick up bulk feed for sure. Let me know whats good

Zubin,
I don't know about healthier unless you are using organic soy and corn. Soy is 94% GMO and corn 95% GMO if grown in the US.

I do not add any food coloring, chemicals, and preservatives to the food. And that is worth it for me.

Each to it's own!
