Things are going well in the geodesic greenhouse. Water chemistry is looking very good. I have yet to see any ammonia in the tests. Nitrites have been at 0 for 2 weeks now. One question maybe someone out there could answerer, has to do with water temperature. If anyone has a setup in a greenhouse. Have you had any issues with water temperature getting to high in the summer. How high is to high? Here it is still dropping to 20° F at night and have seen 80° F during the day. On that 80° day I didn't open the additional vents and it stayed around 105°. When I checked the water temperature it was 78°. And the gold fish where just kind of sitting on the bottom. Obviously I just need to be more diligent of opening vets until I get the rest of the auto openers in. But it did raise the question. How will the system fair in the summer when its over 100° outside?

File comment: Plants are getting bigger. This grow bed is planted with green beans and I stuck a few celery ends in there just to see what they would do.

Perhaps some ground coupling is in order. Also more thermal mass might be a good call.

@Ron, what is ground coupling? I take it that must be using the ground to cool the water in some way? Either by burying a tank or pipes?

@Scotty, will get some more on hand. Are you talking inside, outside, both?

Nathan,

Do you still have an aquaponics setup in Central Oregon?
