Erich that was my first plan but I decided having a sump would be nice to get an idea of my water loss. Not only that if my bridge syphon fails then the only thing that will happen is my sump will empty my FT and my GBs will be safe. but I have two of them so i don't see both doing that. For those that doubt the idea of two it has already saved my ass. My GB one will be higher and I reprime my siphons and all is well in ten mins. I am really happy with having two of them. (they only have issues when kids play with them or I move them for some odd reason

OK wow so its been two weeks since I have been up and running. And about a week now of heating the water too. I haven't tested in a couple of days because it had not changed. Well wild hair tonight tested and these are the results.

Ph 8
Ammonia still at like 4-5
Nitrites about 2-3
Nitrates 5

I have some seeds working on rock wool and will plant some seed direct in media too I really want to compare. Is it sad that I felt like a new father again :ugeek:

Looks like it starting to rock and roll. The change in my systems seemed to happen quite quickly as well.

I've had better luck starting seeds outside the system and transplanting them in, but some have started well in the media. I just hate tying up good growing space on seeds that may or may not sprout and grow.

So came out to puddle in my garage on further inspection I found this

So yeah had to empty my GB bed and add some braces on both ends I am hoping all it was, was because the plywood was bowing it allowed some water out. If I have any other problems though I will seal the bulk head up. But this made for a fun day off. On a brighter note I got my fishes today.

45 yellow perch and 10 channel cats a dude out of Lincoln. I might actually work with him to help sell smaller amounts of fish to APers he deals more in pond stocking than this.

It is best to start off calling it food. And keep reminding yourself every time you feel a little attached to them.

Pick one as you pet...preferably one that is easily identifiable. Then treat the rest as food. :)

Many members have become attached to their very large fish that they have had to 4 years or so.....this is completely counter productive for an AP point view LOL. Arguably these are the fish you want to get least attached to.
